Arsenal are set to make a double announcement in the next 24 hours with one transfer already confirmed and a second signing to be unveiled soon. The Gunners have spent over £200million on the signings of Declan Rice, Jurrien Timber and Kai Havertz with the trio all making their competitive debuts in the 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest.
Despite the new season being underway, several weeks still remain of the summer window with a departure being confirmed on Saturday as Marquinhos has sealed a loan move to Nantes.
The Brazil international was close to sealing a temporary switch to Olympiacos before the deal was hijacked by the French club. With that move being confirmed, another deal should be announced in the coming days with David Raya to sign on loan from Brentford.
The transfer has now all-but been confirmed as his agent, Jaume Munell, posted a picture of himself stood in front of the Arsenal badge at London Colney on his Instagram page. The Spain international was then spotted walking through the mixed zone following the victory against Nottingham Forest.
Arsenal are ready to let defender Kieran Tierney leave this summer, with the club insisting that any exit must be a permanent deal rather than a loan. That’s according to Fabrizio Romano, who reports that Spanish side Real Sociedad have been insisting on a switch for the Scotland international, but on a loan.
It was also noted that he was left out of the squad to face Nottingham Forest with the expectation he will leave Arsenal in the next few weeks. Tierney also has interest from Newcastle and Celtic but neither appear willing to match Arsenal’s asking price which stands at around £30million.
