Manchester United hosted Tottenham on Wednesday night in what would be the fist meeting since Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick against the North London club.
Manchester United started on the front foot with Brazilian winger Antony getting two early chances to give the hosts the lead. Marcus Rashford had a really good chance in the 21st minute after a fine through pass from Fred but couldn’t convert.

Tottenham Hotspur didn’t threaten much in the first half but had an effort on target in the 43rd minute.
Erik ten Hag’s team finished the first half with 19 shots at goal.
Manchester United had a quick start to the second half when Fred opened the scoring in the 47th minute via a deflected shot. Bruno Fernandes doubled the lead on the counter attack in the 69th minute.
Spurs didn’t make any attacking threats to De Gea despite having Son and Kane on the pitch. United saw out the game with a 2-0 win.
